Confronting the Clusterfrack

Saturday, September 28, 2019

Join Marcellus Outreach Butler on September 28 at 1pm at the Butler Public Library to learn how fracking impacts your health.

  • Dr. Ned Ketyer, a distinguished local pediatrician from Washington County, connects the vast petrochemical “clusterfrack” underway in SW Pennsylvania with the local and regional health impacts currently experienced by residents, and the global ecological and public health catastrophes resulting from plastic pollution and climate change that threaten the health and well-being of all travelers on this shining ball of blue. Dr. Ketyer's presentation is entitled, “From Wellhead to Ethane Cracker: How Fracking for Plastics Harms Our Health.”
  • Laura Dagley, BSN, RN, Medical Advocacy Coordinator Physicians for Social Responsibility, Pennsylvania, will present a program entitled, Fracking: The Health Impacts We Know and the Science Behind It. The presentation will explore the findings of the sixth edition of the Compendium of Scientific, Medical, and Media Findings Demonstrating Risks and Harms of Fracking (Unconventional Gas and Oil Extraction).
